Key Challenges

SeaLink works on mega-tenant system which do not communicate with each other. Consolidation of multiple systems including Travel System, Accounting system and the Contact Center system was a challenge. Also, acquisition of multiple companies with their independent systems meant more and more data which their current BI system was not designed to handle; nor could it handle complex layers of data in multiple formats.

SeaLink had the following requirements to be provided with a new BI solution:

  • Collate almost 2 billion data points from multiple sources without compromising security.
  • Need for executive dashboards and reports to be consolidated from different data sources across various platforms.
  • With the consolidated data at one place, the BI solution needed to have multi-tenant row-level security.
  • The BI system should be able to send reports to different stakeholders in different formats.

Kanerika created a secure multi-tenant system from a monolithic system and used Incorta that enabled in generating real-time reports and dashboards. Incorta was selected because of its capability to handle large volumes of data and ability to offer row-level security efficiently.

Kanerika was able to provide secure content to every subscriber of the report either on the system or via Email.

A consolidated data warehouse has been created from multiple sources in the Incorta system and the data is refreshed at the required frequency.

Kanerika has made it possible to provide diversified information to all the stakeholders by using complex formulations and effective ETL (Extract Transform and Load) integrations.
